45 ways to reduce stress in your life

1. Prepare for the next day the night before. (To do list)
2. Wake up early in the morning and stretch.
3. If you are traveling to an unfamiliar location, always take a map with you and know the number.
4. Practice time management. Always try to arrive for an appointment 15 minutes early.
5. Use color key caps to designate important keys, such as your house, office, and car. Make duplicates of important keys.
6. Learn to poke fun at yourself, lighten-up.
7. Occasionally stand at your desk and stretch to allow your muscles to relax. Organize your workplace so that you know where everything is.
8. When you’re anticipating long lines at the bank or other meeting places bring reading material to help pass the time.
9. Buy soft cushion toilet seats.
10. Learn to live for the moment instead of living in the past and future.
11. Have fun every day.
12. Learn to delegate responsibility.
13. Eliminate negative self talk...I can’t, I’m not smart enough, I’m fat, I’m not good looking enough. If you are looking for someone who can make a major difference in your life, look in the mirror.
14. Hug someone.
15. Tell someone you love them.
16. Add a few health books to your reading library.
17. Lower your dose of daily caffeine.
18. Don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do today.
19. When stressed out take several deep breaths in and out.

22. If you have to do a presentation, always rehearse your talk several times before giving it. Practice in front of your family or friends. Tape yourself to see how you did.
23. Always call your appointment or home if you are running late.
24. Buy new music, something soothing to listen to in the car.

26. Buy some new clothes and have your hair styled.
27. If you have to do something you don’t like, try to do it first thing so you can enjoy the rest of the day.
28. Call an old friend you haven’t talked to in a long time. (Make sure it’s someone that makes you happy.)
29. Use a humor perspective when things get a little rough. Defuse a negative situation with humor.
30. Shop on weekdays instead of weekends.
31. Take a walk in the evening. Watch a sunset.
32. Watch an animal. Buy a bird feeder and a squirrel feeder.
33. Plant a flower. Play in the Dirt.
34. Give to the needy. Share what you have with those who are less fortunate.
35. Be happy with what you have, instead of what you don’t have.

38. Eat slowly and enjoy your food.
39. Use your gift of decision making and choice to create happiness.
40. Stop worrying about what other people think.
41. Be spiritually strong.

44. The next time you are entering into an argument, ask yourself this question, would I rather be right or happy?
